Solo Dry Tree

This is one of my first deserts photography workshops at Liwa desert. It is part of the great Empty Quarter Sahara at the Arabian Peninsula, I was driving a 4x4 vehicle but, it was very difficult to reach this solo dry tree. we had to keep the car down at more stable sands and walk up to the high sand dunes where the tree was.

Walking thru the soft sand dunes carrying all the gear wasn't a pleasant experience but after we reach and saw how nice the location was, we decided to carry on walking and explore more spots nearby.

Trying to be different some times can results something outstanding or strange and unusual. I was on my first Safari trip at Tanzania and although my main photographic target was wild life but I wanted so much to capture some beautiful landscapes since I am there.

While waiting for a leopard, I went and grab my other camera and wide angle lens, put my Infrared filter and fix my camera to a stable spot in the car.

I was able to take this shot and processed it in a dramatic way to enhance the depth, light and shadows.

It was a beautiful experience.
